It is hinged, the heads pull apart to open. Measures: 7 on the inside. Material: Metal, Bronze, Gold Plate, Enamel. E-BAY INSISTS ON INDICATING THE METAL TYPE, SO I ENTERED SILVER. NOT 100% IF IT IS SILVER OR NOT, BUT MEMORY INDICATES IT IS.

IT IS COVERED IN ENAMEL, WHICH IS WHY THE CONFUSION. NOTE: I also indicated it comes with a tag; however, the tag is on the outside of the baggy it came in. IT NEVER CAME WITH A TAG ATTACHED TO THE ACTUAL BANGLE ITSELF.
