Matise Pale Blue Enamel Copper Necklace Bracelet Earring Set Awaiting Spring

  

This beautiful set was my. I have stored it for the last 40 years. I never wore it only stored kept it for her memory. The Nefertiti design is shown on pages 11, 91, 126 in the book, "Copper Art Jewelry; a Different Luster" by Matthew L.

Burkholz and Linda Lichtenberg Kaplan. There were several variations, this particular design being my favorite.

Each elongated oval-shaped pale blue finely specked with white enameled links (there are 33 in the necklace and 14 in the bracelet) is embraced by a copper frame. The craftsmanship that went into making each link is amazing. The matching bracelet and earrings.

Are signed "Matisse" in script. The necklace measurements are 13 1/2 inches long plus an extension chain measuring 4 inches long. The enameled links alternate 1 inch and 1 1/4 inches long. The linked, clasp bracelet measures 6 inches long. The matching clip on earrings of one and 1/4 inches long by 5/8 of an inch wide.
