Michaela Frey 24ct Gold Plated Egyptian Scarab'Contessa' Bangle, 17.5cm, Signed with Original Box. A beautiful hinged 24ct plated bangle by Michaela Frey Wein featuring a stunning Egyptian scarab design set on two hand-crafted fire-enamel plates either side of the central clasp. The opening mechanism on this bangle as with many of Michaela Frey designs, is one of convenience and practicality, ensuring ease of fit whilst staying safe during wear. This particular shape of bangle is referred to as the "Contessa" where it narrows towards the clasp. The Designer: Michaela Frey began in Vienna in 1951 as an artist. The business continued to grow to a point where she partnered with Dr Friedrich Wille in the 1970's. It was during this period that the Frey Wille'fire-enamel' process began. A process where many many layers of enamel are applied resulting in a very resilient finish with stunningly brilliant shining colour and excellent detail. Michaela Frey pieces are guaranteed quality and are timeless in their design.

The colours and quality on this piece are absolutely stunning. Measurements: Internal circumference of 17.5cm, 1.5cm wide at its narrowest point and 2.1cm at its widest point. This piece is in excellent vintage condition and comes with the original box.
