Cobalt blue enamel, aqua and green accent glass pieces with millefiore. 7" end to end, 2-1/8" wide. Matching clip back earrings are round, approx. Buol is well known for exactly this type of dimensional copper enamel jewelry with pieces of glass fused on top of the enamel to form abstract designs.
Buol was born in 1903 in Connecticut, and studied for many years in Italy and France. She worked in enamels from 1951 onward, and lived for several years in Carmel, CA where she owned and operated an art gallery showing her own work exclusively. She passed away in 1982. Most of this information is from "Art and Artists of the Monterey Peninsula" published in 1969. Good overall handcrafted condition; minor skips on edges of pieces.
