AMAZING Gripoix Enamel & 14K Gold Vintage Bangle Bracelet & Earring Set Signed

  
Stunning, amazing, and amazingly uncommon. Gripoix glass is almost unheard of on real fine gold jewelry. It's a lovely technique but was used almost exclusively on costume jewelry. It was a cheaper substitute for gemstones.

Some of the most highly collected Chanel, Dior, and Yves Saint Laurent costume jewelry features gripoix glass decoration. When designers stepped up to using solid gold they typically chose precious gems, not glass, to accompany the gold. Here is a rare d example of gripoix glass being used on solid 14k gold.

These pieces are fresh from the estate of a real estate mogul. She had extensive commercial real estate holdings and owned more fine gold jewelry than anyone I've ever seen. The bangle features blue gripoix glass and the earrings purple. Although different colors they work extremely well together. The pieces are signed by the maker but I cannot make the marks out.

Both the bracelet and earrings are in excellent, like new condition. All pieces bear 14k gold marks.

I'm sure they weren't worn many times, if at all. This is one of the most elegant sets of jewelry I have ever seen.

Some lucky lady will look like a million dollars wearing them.
