The Foo Dog is marked Silver (antique marking). Heavy enamel and gold wash carved beads on silk knot. We think it is gold overlayed on Silver.

Item does not take to a magnet. Given the loveliness of the gold wash, we do not want to ruin the finish so cannot confirm metal purity. Piece appears original to when originally made.
